The House of Capricorn

The Rivers And The Rain

I lost my groove today
Caught up, tied down, blew the game
Aimed straight for LaFay
But that groove got stuck
I somewhat embraced the light
And tried to sort it once, yet got shaken away
It undeniably did me good
And it must be my luck

Tired yet rising
The traitors have made their drinks and hit the way
It's a foggy night down here in limbo
except for the rivers and the rain

I saw troubled fools
Dizzy, shaken, standing with saints
Reflecting, reminiscing
In a misty eyed haze
The beast shifted its mighty hand
Across the swamps and moors the fog still crawls
Down south in the hills and trees
The midlands have paid their day

Tired yet rising
The traitors have made their drinks and hit the way
It's a foggy night down here in limbo
The comfort of the rivers and the rain

I shook my fist today
Got up and cracked that whip the right way
I flipped my coin again
And I called I right
What a loss this has been
Jaded, grim, and cold in every way
Where can I find my way home?
Where can I find that light?
